Introduction to Science 

The word,Science is taken from a Latin word "scientia" which means 'knowledge'. It is comprised and organized of knowledge which is usually its teachings and explanations about the universe. In other words, Science is itself a knowledge and its contributions and explanations can be applied in real life. The person who acts in this way and is expert in the subject of Science and holds the goal of inventing new things and spends his most time in Science is called a scientist,by the name.

Foundation of Science

Earlier,Science was closely related to 'philosophy' and additionally the words 'science' and 'philosophy of nature' were used for one another or interchangeably. Its real foundations and golden contributions were laid during the Islamic Golden Age

Science in Modern Age

Nowadays,Science is different from the one considered in the West in early periods i.e it is way of achieving knowledge and refers to the branches of study which require explanation of and practical of the processes involved in the material of the universe. Scientists used to formulate the knowledge of Science into different laws in the 17th and 18th century.

Then over the course of 19th century,Science changed its path of studying the universe,organizing into different branches which include physics,chemistry,biology etc.Besides, the term  'scientist'  was introduced by William Whewell in the same century.

The word,Science is also applied to the teaching about a specific topic such as Computer Science and Social Science.
